CKTS - Central Kentucky Tennis Series

Alton Blakley Lake Cumberland Open 2021 Weekend Information

The 2021 CKTS season continues this weekend (August 7-8) in Somerset, Kentucky with the annual Alton Blakley Lake Cumberland Open.  This is the fifth stop on the 2021 Central Kentucky Tennis Series (CKTS) Tour after an exciting weekend in Campbellsville two weeks ago. We are excited to have nearly 100 players competing with us this weekend, with early play beginning on Friday evening at all listed sites.

The draws for this tournament are now published with links to the draws here on our website.  Matches will be held at Southwestern High School, Pulaski County High School, and Somerset High School courts. Tournament Director Chis Adkisson has a great lineup of matches ready to roll, and he has lots of great help from the volunteers at the Lake Cumberland Tennis Association.

Along with some of the best t-shirts on the CKTS Tour, there’s a lot for players to be excited about, other than great tennis. There’s free chicken minis available from Chick-Fil-A on Saturday morning, free sandwiches for Saturday lunch from Penn Station, and free ice cream courtesy of Forcht Bank. During select Finals matches there will also be ball crews!

Players may report directly to their play site listed on the draw sheets. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start times listed on the draws. ALL TIMES ARE EASTERN. Please bring your own drinks to stay hydrated. Weather updates will come from @cktstour on Twitter and Facebook.

We look forward to a great time of tennis this weekend in Somerset!
