Another Bad Forecast Postpones the Barren Classic Until June 29-30
We regret to announce that, due to the weather forecast of storms and possible flash floods for Saturday and continued rain chances on Sunday, we have made the difficult last-minute decision to postpone this weekend’s tournament.
The 2019 Barren Classic will now be played June 29-30 (registration will re-open at noon on 6/22 and close Wednesday 6/26 at noon CDT).
Since the same exact set of players is unlikely to be involved on the new weekend (some current players will drop out, some previously unavailable players will want in, some doubles partners can play but some can’t, etc.), in a case like this we must COMPLETELY RE-OPEN THE ENTRIES and ask that all players re-register. Those who were unavailable for the original Barren Classic weekend are more than welcome to enter for the rescheduled date.
Please note too that the MOST DRAWS WILL BE TOTALLY RE-MADE in many cases due to the fact that the rescheduled events will not necessarily contain a carbon copy of the original entrants. The new draws–with all re-entered participants and hopefully some new participants–will be re-posted by 9:00PM on Thursday 6/27.
REMINDER that registration will also open on Monday June 24 for the State Farm Etown Open (July 6-7) in Elizabethtown.
