Twentieth Season of CKTS Set to Begin as Barren Classic 2022 Draws are Now Available
The 2022 CKTS season launches this weekend (June 4-5) in Glasgow, Kentucky with the annual Barren Classic. This will be the 20th season of the Central Kentucky Tennis Series, and we are very excited to begin this year’s Tour with the first of two annual stops in Glasgow, where nearly 120 players will be competing this weekend.
The draws for 2022 Barren Classic are now published with a link to the draws here on our website. Matches will be held at Barren County High School and nearby Gorin Park. Players will report directly to their play site listed on the draws. Tournament Director and BCHS Tennis Coach Trina Rickard has a great lineup of matches ready to roll.
PLEASE NOTE that some Sunday matches are NOT YET scheduled, pending the results of previous rounds in an effort to make Sunday scheduling more efficient.
ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE: The brackets for 15 & Under events are labeled on the USTA site as “16 & Under,” but that is only a label that we cannot change–it is indeed the 15 & Under division.
Please also note that if you did not complete the online pre-payment process before the entry deadline, your registration may have been discarded. As with all USTA sanctioned events, pre-payment is mandatory and NOT optional for CKTS, a policy that began in 2020.
If you purchased a CKTS membership or TourPass, please request your CKTS t-shirt this weekend from Trina (you’ll also get a Barren Classic tee while supplies last). As always, CKTS memberships and TourPasses can be purchased online at any time 24/7.
We look forward to a great time of tennis this weekend in Glasgow, as well as an incredible 20th season of the CKTS!
