Sydney Cassady Memorial Tournament 2025 Draws are Now Available; Indoor Play
The 23rd season season of the CKTS continues this weekend (June 14-15) in Bowling Green, Kentucky with the 2nd Annual Sydney Cassady Memorial Tournament. This will be the first of two annual stops in Bowling Green, where we are excited to welcome over 155 players competing this weekend.
Due to the strong likelihood of rain in the forecast this weekend, the tournament will be played indoors at Buchanon Park. With such a large field, we will be forced to alter the format in order to get all of the matches played.
All matches will be a two short sets played to four games. If the players or teams are tied at 3-3 in a set, they will play a 7-point tiebreak. If the players or teams split set, they will then play a 7-point tiebreaker to determine the winner.
Players are asked to limit their warmup to 10 minutes to help us stay on schedule. There are racquetball courts that can be used for warmup but they are first come, first served. Thank you for your patience and cooperation with this weather situation.
This tournament was created last year in honor of Sydney Cassady, a 2019 graduate and stand-out tennis player for South Warren High School–who was tragically killed in an automobile accident in 2022. Proceeds from this tournament will support the SWHS Tennis Team as well as the Sydney Cassady Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The draws for 2025 Sydney Cassady Memorial Tournament are now published with a link to the draws here on our website. Director Chad Young would like to remind everyone that ALL TIMES LISTED ON THE DRAWS ARE CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME (aka “Slow Time”).
Players should check-in at the event at least 20 minutes early. [AGAIN, ALL TIMES ARE CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME.] Bring your preferred drinks to stay hydrated. Weather updates will come to players via SMS text.
PLEASE NOTE that although Sunday matches are scheduled, some times may be adjusted after Saturday play in an effort to make Sunday scheduling more efficient.
ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE: All draws are SINGLE ELIMINATION despite some labels that may indicate otherwise .
